The Holy Eucharist is the greatest gift Christ has given His Church. In the Eucharist, Jesus is truly present—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity—under the appearances of bread and wine.
What Does the Catholic Church Teach?
"The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life." (CCC 1324)
Every grace we receive flows from Christ, and the Eucharist is the sacrament that unites us most intimately with Him.
What Does Scripture Say?
"I am the living bread that came down from heaven." (John 6:51)
"This is my body... this is my blood." (Matthew 26:26-28)
Jesus Himself teaches that He is the Bread of Life and gives us His Body and Blood for our salvation.
Why Is the Eucharist Important?
The Eucharist nourishes our souls, strengthens our union with Christ, forgives venial sins, and prepares us for eternal life.
