Lenten Events

Lent is a sacred season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Easter. At St. James, we invite you to journey through Lent with us by participating in our parish Lenten events and devotions.

Ash Wednesday

various • wednesday, february 18th

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season, a sacred time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Join us at St. James as we gather to receive ashes and prepare our hearts for renewal and conversion.

Mass Times:

  • 8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM
  • 7:00 PM (Bilingual)

All are welcome as we begin our Lenten journey together in faith and reflection.

Stations of the Cross

6:00Pm & 7:00PM • Fridays

Join us each Friday during Lent as we pray the Stations of the Cross and walk with Christ on His journey to the Cross. This traditional Catholic devotion invites us into prayerful reflection on Christ’s sacrifice and deepens our Lenten journey of repentance and renewal.

All are welcome to participate in this meaningful time of prayer and reflection.

9:00am • saturday march 14th

Join us at St. James for our Lenten Mission, a sacred time of reflection, renewal, and spiritual growth as we prepare our hearts for Easter. Through prayer, inspiring messages, and communal worship, this mission invites us to deepen our relationship with Christ and strengthen our faith.

Lenten Penance Service

7:00Pm • Tuesday, March 24th

During this holy season of Lent, all are invited to experience God’s mercy and healing at our Lenten Penance Service. This communal service includes an examination of conscience, prayer, and the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Come and be reconciled with God as we prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter.
