Adoration & Benediction

Spend your time with Christ in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration is every Friday from 9:00 AM until Benediction held at 7:00 PM, and on Monday from 6:00 PM until Benediction held at 8:00 PM. Beginning in August, the 2nd & 4th Monday night’s Adoration will be in Spanish. Jesus cannot be left alone. We need volunteers to spend time with Our Lord throughout the day.

Catholics on Fire

pentecostflamedove200Catholics on Fire is a ministry committed to promoting Eucharistic Adoration and education of all phases of the Catholic faith. We need parishioners who are “on fire” for the Lord to help this ministry to expand by promoting the many blessings received while praying before the Blessed Sacrament. In addition to the weekly Adoration times on Monday and Fridays, we also promote 40-Hour Eucharist Adoration three times a year.

We live in a digital world so we have ongoing Adult Formation is through our parish subscription to Formed.org. This website provides essential resources we need to understand, live, and share our Catholic Faith. The study programs, movies, audio presentations, and eBooks lead us to a closer relationship with God and each other. It’s programming for the whole family. View the on your computer, iPhone, laptop, etc., then sign up in the parish office for $15 for a year per family. Parish subscription will renew if there is enough participation to cover the cost.

We need your help to share information about Formed and to promote Adoration which help our parishioners to grow closer to God, and strengthen their faith. Please join us.

Please contact Mary Ann Zimmerman in the parish office x104.

Cursillo

Cursillo is a movement of the Catholic Church which had its beginning in Spain and is designed and intended to provide a “short course” in Christianity. Cursillo is Spanish for short course. The cost to an individual is a three day weekend, and the returns vary from individual to individual, but are uniformly significant.

There is a lot more being said than ever before about evangelization within the Catholic Church and our responsibilities to “evangelize”. The concept of evangelization is foreign to most Catholics and creates images of going two by two, door to door, with bible in hand. How the Cursillo Movement addresses this area of concern is stated well in a paragraph from The National Cursillo Center web site:

In the Cursillo Movement, we approach evangelization as a very natural act of being Christ-like within each of our daily activities. We realize that while most people would like to live their lives in a Christ-like manner, the pressures of the world often make this difficult. The Cursillo Movement provides a method and a technique to provide each of us with the tools, the mentality, the strength, and the support to make this natural type of evangelization possible.
