The Finance Council works as advisors to the Pastor. They review the finances of the Parish on an on-going basis and help to report the financial status of the Parish to the parishioners.
The Finance Council members are: Blaine Bandi, Chair; Alvean Soliz, Co-Chair; Michael Mathews, Lew Lancaster, Elaine Gress, Michael McManus.
Members of the Pastoral Council are called to be attentive to all ministries and activities of the parish. They help the pastor as consulters in planning, guiding, and otherwise fostering pastoral activity of the parish. They are attentive to the parish with its special gifts and rich diversity, and address areas of parish life such as worship, spirituality, evangelization, education, service, resources and vocations.
This Council partners closely with the Stewardship Council, Finance Council and Staff to implement, monitor and maintain the Parish Pastoral Plan. They work to implement policies of the Diocese of Phoenix and St James Parish. They support all parish ministries and recommend activities for the good of the parish. They endeavor to create a better understanding and support of the Roman Catholic faith. Each year they host the Advent and Lenten Missions, Parish Town Hall Meeting and the Parish Picnic.

The mission of the Stewardship and Development Council is to inspire others to embrace stewardship as a way of life by loving Jesus in each other and deepening our spiritual connection.
Currently the Stewardship Council is working with the Pastoral Council in carrying out the Parish Mission. Members include: Carla Gonzales-Special Events & Fundraising, Leticia Rodriguez-Spanish Community Liaison, and Ken Prichett-Knights of Columbus Liaison, and Jackie Peeden.
This Council consists of the following Committees:
Parishioner Services – This committee contacts new parishioners and welcomes their families to the Parish. They acquaint these families with the programs, ministries, and activities available to them at the Parish. The committee hosts our Community Breakfasts held in September, January and May. The greeters and hospitality are a vital part of this committee.
Special Events and Fundraising – All special events and fundraising activities are coordinated through this committee to help increase the success of each event and activity. Carla Gonzales chairs this committee.
Stewardship Education. – This committee is responsible to educate the Parish members about biblical stewardship, coordinates the annual commitment drive.
Communication and Publicity. – This committee works closely with all of the above committees to communicate with the Parish members utilizing the weekly Parish bulletin and Parish website and facilitates communication with the Parish staff and among the various Parish Councils and Ministries. This committee is currently in need of a chairperson. Pray, serve and give as a way of life and deepen your spiritual connection.
