Called to Protect

I am Chirstina Metelski, the new Safe Environment Coordinator for St James.  I have been married for 38 years to Michael and we are both retired police officers.  I am now kept busy helping my mother, who lives in a care home nearby.  I also have 3 dogs and volunteer with St Vincent de Paul and at St James as a lector, EM and now the Safe Environment Coordinator.  I enjoy staying fit and socializing with friends.

As a police officer for 27 years, I worked patrol, narcotics, assault, missing persons and the last 9 years of my career were with the Crimes Against Children Unit.  Because of my background, I hope to bring a unique perspective to my position as Safe Environment Coordinator.  I am happy to be working with the parishioners at St James in making the parish a safe place for all children.  I look forward to meeting and working with the volunteers of the parish.
