Items for Donation:
• Consider shopping for items you might need and those items you don't even know you need until you find them!
• Consider donating the items that you no longer use. Please try to bring items clean and good condition. Items such as: clothing, linens, shoes, handbags, luggage, toys, books, kitchen items & furniture,
• We can not take computers or telephones. We also, according to law, can not resell mattresses. However, we work with our own St. Vincent De Paul and they always have a family that needs a bed and we donate them.
• We encourage your donations at any time, however if you can, please assist us by trying to call ahead to the parish, 623 581-0707 to make sure the maintenance staff is there. They will direct you to bring your donations to the storage trailers out on the west side of the parking lot. This way the merchandise is protected from weather and from theft.
We also need volunteers for physical help:
• We need folks to hang clothing on hangers (you can even come to the church and get a bag or two of clothes and hangers and take them home to do the work! We also schedule times to have a folks come to church to hang clothing.
• We need people in advance to help set up the sale, we usually start the day before the sale.
• We need people to volunteer to help during the sale.
• We also need folks to help cleanup when the sale is over at 2PM on Saturday. The unsold items are donated to St. Vincent DePaul and just need to be loaded in their truck. The clothing racks and tables then need to go back to the storage trailers. With enough help this can only take 1-2 hours.
• This is just a small overview of the work.
